1 – Some Awesome Minecraft

Whitelisted? Yes

Welcome to Some Awesome Minecraft. We are a dedicated, family-friendly server that delights in community builds and helping the kiddies become great gamers. We hope that you join us and help the server become even better!

Some Awesome Community

The Some Awesome Community is a family-centric group of individuals who delight in the nerdy bits of life. You can find out more about them on the website, Facebook fan page, and on various other properties throughout the Internet. We encourage you to become a part of the wonderful community, whether you’re a gamer, geek, nerd, or just like to generally be creative & have fun!

The Some Awesome Minecraft Community is one of the most dedicated groups we have, and we pride ourselves on our sense of friendship and service to the Minecraft player base. If you would like to join our little bit of online fun, please read the server rules and feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Our Server

Our server started off as the family LAN server for the LeMorris family in early 2012 (the map is still technically called LeMorris). In March 2013, it was decided that we needed a 24-hour server our community could call home. We thought about loading a brand new map but eventually decided to go with the existing world since it already had things in place to help, like a safe house near spawn (that eventually became the command tower), a farm, and a hotel for temporary stays while players found a plot to begin building. Hence the Some Awesome Minecraft Server was born.

After a while, it became obvious that the in-game chat was not the best place to coordinate activities and share experiences for the community, so the Facebook group was created, and it has been the best decision we’ve ever made for our players. These days, we are able to share not only the fun of the server, but also Minecraft fun for Xbox, Playstation, WiiU, and Pocket Edition as well as News and pictures. We’re glad to be growing every day.

Right now we are running two servers, both on a 1.8.3 Spigot build. We have 2 very large worlds (we have found all the new biomes), and we do our best to facilitate a sense of companionship, happiness, and trust on the server. We oftentimes keep an alternate server around for game nights, creative builds, or just to load new maps or mods to check them out.

We do our best to treat all of our players fairly. We have lots of kids on the server, so they are given a little more patience, as kids often require. Some of our players have even adopted certain service-specific roles, and we have an active team of admins to keep things running & events fun.

2 –  The Sandlot

Whitelisted? Yes

The Sandlot has been serving the needs of parents and family members looking for a safe place for their children, friends, and relatives to play Minecraft since December 2011.

Founded by a parent and former school teacher, The Sandlot aims to provide a family-friendly environment for younger players, free from swearing, abusive language, and mature content that is often found on many Minecraft servers (and the internet in general).

We operate with a strict chat filter, and have zero tolerance for any attempts to bypass it. Our server is white-listed, meaning that players must request access and be approved by our staff. We perform a background check on every application we receive, and we do not accept any players with a history of abusive behavior of any kind.

Our server offers a wide variety of game modes, including Semi-Vanilla Survival that is 100% legit (no spawned items, everything collected by players), Easy Survival with a jobs system and shopping mall (great for our younger players), Creative for players who want to get straight to building, Hardcore for players looking for even more of a survival challenge, PvP in the form of Skywars, Hunger Games, Build Battle, and loads of mini-games, Skyblock, Dirtblock, and hundreds of Parkour maps made by our community. We even have a giant Hogwarts Adventure that lets you explore the world of Harry Potter, with magic wands included! There’s something for everyone!

4 – Intercraften

Whitelisted? Yes

Why Choose Intercraften?

Whitelisting Process

The strongest level of safety on Intercraften is its controlled access. By employing a “whitelist” with an application and approval process, Intercraften can effectively screen out any undesired players before they even have the chance to join the server at all. This keeps our user base as safe and trustworthy as possible.

Censored and Monitored Chat

One of the most important steps in maintaining a family-friendly gaming environment is how players interact and communicate. Intercraften’s censoring system has over 3,000 entries to ensure that all in-game chat stays clean and respectful.

Awesome Staff Members

All of Intercraften’s staff members go through extensive training and are prepared for the specific needs of a family-friendly gaming environment. Many parents who play on Intercraften are also staff members and server administrators. Ensuring that our players have good role models and support is essential to maintaining our special place to play.

Parental Involvement
Because things can occasionally go wrong, in cases of misbehavior and rule-breaking, our staff members reach out to parents and provide actual in-game logs of what happened, as well as solutions for how to fix it as soon as possible. This way, we are able to have our players learn from what has happened and continue being contributing, respectful members of our community.
